How to Make Peruvian Empanadas and make Memories!

Requirements

Do you find gathering ingredients from a latin market too much effort?

My Grandma, Micelsia, was from a little town in Peru called Chepén and spent the majority of her life cooking for others.

She was the homemaker and helped raise her siblings so her mother could work and her siblings could go to school.

Because of all her experience, she was practical, efficient, and found a way to create authentic Peruvian dishes using only what was available to her in the grocery stores during the 80’s (in New Zealand!) making her recipes unique to what you will find scouring the net.

When I cook my grandmothers food, it’s the best tasting food, but it goes deeper than that. My heart goes to a special place where I feel her again and remember her again, and transports me back to the time I had with her and my Mum, and I love when I get the chance to do that.

That’s why, I’d LOVE to teach you.

Connect back to your roots and regain your Peruvian identity alongside me, you will learn how to make the most delicious empanadas with minimal effort (lets face it – cooking is tiring!).

You will honor your ancestry, create memories, fun traditions and pass your heritage down to your kids through Peruvian food.

You will use everyday ingredients but still get that authentic Peruvian flavor.

You will need a digital kitchen scale, parchment paper lined baking trays, pastry brush, and a rolling pin.

My friends rave about this recipe and my kids LOVE them! (Aged 3 & 4!).

I invite you to click above and join me on a journey of connection, culture, ancestry and identity.
